Spring Is Singing Upon Us
I have opened my winter window
The warm oneness
is smiling
in the lifescape
of the neighborhood ~
the embrace of peoples’ faces ~
The birds caressing
an open canopy of sky
welling blue-vast heated freshness
Call in a melody
of life’s ages still bringing us forth
to stir our souls even now
From the branches of their tree top rivers
to new buds green etched
unfurling of delicate flesh
coursing their juices in harmony
to the April sun.
I have opened my winter window.
